You must be wondering to know that, what makes busy people stop and pay full consideration to one piece of information?, And the answer is it's their own safety. WHY GET AN SECOND PASSPORT?

if your current nationality and passport can make you exposed for hijackers and
terrorists.

if your current passport could be suspended, confiscated or revoked on some
grounds.

your passport needs to be renewed frequently.

Perhaps
the political or economic situation of your native nation which makes your
travel complicated on your current passport.

Possibly you need visas to visit places where you want to go for a holiday or settle down.

Perhaps you are burdened by taxation or your belongings are the target of litigation. You may be a subject to tax on your worldwide earnings, currency controls or other confiscation measure.

Maybe your existing passport causes you delay, persecution or denies at any outskirts. Conceivably your citizenship forces you into unwanted military or other burden obligation.

bottom line is you can't put a price on your freedom. Intelligent people will
acquire a 2nd passport for exactly the same explanation.
